The master bedroom has triple built-in wardrobes, views across the countryside and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The chimney from downstairs passes through this room to provide extra heat in the winter.
To the side of the main house entrance is a utility room with the boiler and also the log storage. Above the terrace is a fenced area that currently houses the resident pot bellied pig, Lola, and has previously had chickens and turkeys too.
A terrace wraps around the house with a fabulous outside kitchen which includes a wood burning barbecue and a full pizza oven. There is a sink and a large built in table to sit at. The views of the surrounding countryside are truly breathtaking. This property is perfectly set up for outdoor living.
Steps lead down to the pool area which has an outside shower and a large covered area for relaxing.
Past the pool are the guest houses. They have a shared large terrace and stone barbecue. There are two studio apartments, El Sol and La Luna, set out the same way – enter into a sitting area which has double doors onto a private terrace, and opens into the double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a bathroom with walk-in shower. In between the studio apartments and with a separate entrance is a large kitchen and living room area with a wood burning stove.
The house has underfloor heating installed although the owners don’t use it. There are solar panels for the hot water. The windows are all double glazed and the house has cavity wall insulation, as well as the roof, and full damp proofing. The house was built by the current occupants and they moved in in 2007.

The village of Santa Cruz del Comercio is in the province of Granada and has approximately 540 inhabitants. It has two bars that both sell food, a village supermarket and a weekly farmers market. The whole area has a rich history and was part of the Roman and Islamic empires. 8kms from the village is the town of Alhama de Granada, famous for its natural thermal spa, the town is bustling all year round and is also popular for tourism to the town itself and the Sierra Tejada mountain range that surrounds it.
Santa Cruz del Comercio is 40 minutes to the city of Granada and 30 minutes to Granada airport, 1h15 to Málaga international airport and 45 minutes to the Málaga coast.
