Torrox Costa is a small coastal town located in the province of Malaga in southern Spain. It is situated on the Costa del Sol, which is known for its beautiful beaches and warm climate. The town is popular with tourists and expats alike, thanks to its beautiful weather, laid-back lifestyle, and stunning scenery.

The village of Torrox is located slightly inland from the coast and is easily accessible from Torrox Costa. It is a charming and traditional Andalusian village with narrow, winding streets, white-washed houses, and pretty plazas. The village has a rich history and was once an important trading post during the Moorish era. Today, it offers a glimpse into Spain’s rich history and culture.

Torrox Costa is known for its long stretches of golden sand beaches, which are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. The town has plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as a modern marina. It is also home to some of the best seafood restaurants in the region.
The village of Torrox is a great place to explore if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the coast. It has a number of traditional Andalusian buildings, including the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, a beautiful 16th-century church, and Casa de la Moneda, a former mint that now serves as a cultural centre.


Torrox has a thriving German and northern European expat community, but manages to retain its authenticity.


Torrox is located off the N-340 coastal road, and the AP-7 motorway. There are two distinct areas, Torrox pueblo to the north of the motorway, and Torrox Costa on the coast.

Torrox has two health centres: one situated along the coast and another inland within the village.
Additionally, there are three private clinics on the coast, staffed by English and German-speaking doctors.
Dental clinics are also available, and for more extensive medical needs, there’s a hospital in nearby Torre del Mar.


Torrox has a full complement of shops. There is also a street market on Mondays.
Besides the local market in Torrox Costa, numerous nearby markets offer a diverse range of goods to suit various tastes and preferences.
For a commercial centre, El Ingenio in Torre del Mar is only 19 kilometre away.
Public Transport
Torrox is connected to Nerja, Torre del Mar and Malaga via the local bus network. There are regular buses, seven days a week.
From Malaga, you can reach other cities in Spain, and the rest of Europe via the airport.

Torrox has lots of sports facilities from golf to handball, beach football, gyms, tennis and pádel.

Alongside the usual Easter, Christmas and summer feria events which you’ll find in every town and city of Andalucia, Torrox has further annual events.
